Method 1: Pay via TAMM (Website or App)
TAMM is Abu Dhabi’s own government services platform, and Abu Dhabi Police now directs residents to it as the primary channel for traffic fines.
- Go to the TAMM Traffic Fines Payment service, or open the TAMM app (App Store / Google Play).
- Sign in with your UAE Pass — TAMM doesn’t offer a guest option for paying fines.
- Select Drive & Transport, then Fines & Violations, then Traffic Fines Payment.
- Enter your Emirates ID and vehicle registration number if prompted, review your outstanding fines, and select which ones to pay.

Method 2: Pay via the Abu Dhabi Police App or Website
This is the older, standalone channel — still active, and useful if you’d rather not set up TAMM.
- Open the Abu Dhabi Police website or the Abu Dhabi Police app (App Store / Google Play).
- Sign in with your UAE Pass, or register using your Emirates ID, driver’s license number, and vehicle plate number if you haven’t already.
- Your outstanding fines appear on the home screen once you’re signed in.
- Select a fine, tap Pay Now, and complete the payment with a debit or credit card.
- You’ll get a notification and an e-receipt once the payment goes through.
Method 3: Pay via the MOI (Ministry of Interior) App
The MOI app is a federal channel covering services across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi traffic fines, and is available on both the App Store and Google Play.
- Open the MOI app on your device.

How to Dispute an Abu Dhabi Traffic Fine
If you believe a fine was issued in error, you have 30 days from the violation date to object — under Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2024 on Traffic Regulation, Abu Dhabi Police treats a fine as accepted once that window passes, and paying a fine is also treated as accepting it, so file your objection before you pay if you intend to dispute it.
- Open the Abu Dhabi Police app and go to More, then Submit New Complaint, then Objection to a Traffic Violation — or use the equivalent grievance service on TAMM.
- Enter your Emirates ID, vehicle details, the fine number, and the violation type.
- Explain your reason for disputing the fine and attach any evidence you have, such as dashcam footage or photos.
- Submit and wait to be notified whether your objection was accepted or rejected.

What Happens If You Don’t Pay
Unpaid fines don’t just sit quietly — they can block your vehicle registration renewal, and fines that carry enough black points become “non-payable” online until the points are transferred from your vehicle to your driving licence. That transfer can usually be handled digitally: in TAMM, open the non-payable fine, tap Transfer Black Points, choose Transfer to my licence, and verify via SMS OTP — it doesn’t automatically require a center visit, though some cases may still need one.
