The quickest way to check your FAB Ratibi Card balance is the official Ratibi Prepaid Card Balance Enquiry, run by Magnati on behalf of FAB’s Ratibi product page. You’ll need the last 4 digits of your card number and your Card ID. Payit, FAB’s official digital wallet, and any FAB ATM are the other two self-service options.
Ways to Check Your Ratibi Balance
| Method | Difficulty | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Magnati online enquiry | Easy | Last 4 card digits + Card ID |
| Payit app | Easy | Emirates ID + your Ratibi card, for initial signup |
| FAB ATM | Easy | Ratibi card + PIN |
| Salary SMS alert | Easiest, but only confirms a credit | Registered mobile number |
| Customer support | When other methods don’t work | Card/employer details |
Important: a salary SMS alert confirms that a credit landed — it isn’t an on-demand balance check. FAB doesn’t publish an SMS command for checking your current balance, so don’t rely on any “text BAL to 2121”-style instructions you might see elsewhere; that isn’t a confirmed FAB feature for Ratibi.
1. Check Your Balance via the Magnati Portal
- Open the official Ratibi Prepaid Card Balance Enquiry.
- Enter the last 4 digits of your Ratibi card number.
- Enter your Card ID.
- Complete the CAPTCHA and select Go.
You don’t need your full 16-digit card number — just the last 4 digits plus your Card ID, which is a separate number (more on this below).
Safety tip: only use the official ppc.magnati.com page. The real portal never asks for your PIN or an OTP — never enter either into any “balance checker.”
2. Check Your Balance via Payit
Payit’s official site (payit.ae/ratibi/) confirms Ratibi cards can be linked and checked directly in the app.
If you don’t already have it, download it from the App Store or Google Play — verify the developer shows as “First Abu Dhabi Bank” before entering any details, since lookalike apps exist.
- Open the app and choose Sign Up with Ratibi Card.
- Scan your Emirates ID and fill in your personal details.
- Complete a short verification video (part of Payit’s security process).
- Confirm your active Ratibi card details to finish linking.
Once linked, your balance shows on the Payit home screen, and updates in real time as your employer credits your salary — useful if you’d rather check from your phone than the web portal.
As described on Payit’s official site, linking involves signing up with your Ratibi card, scanning your Emirates ID, and a short identity-verification step. Once linked, your balance appears on the Payit home screen and updates as your employer credits your salary.
3. Check Your Balance at an FAB ATM
Insert your Ratibi card, enter your PIN, and follow the balance or account-information option on screen — exact wording can vary slightly by machine, so follow what’s shown rather than expecting one fixed label.
Use the official FAB Branch & ATM Locator to find your nearest machine.
If you haven’t set your PIN yet, see our guide on activating your FAB Ratibi card and setting your PIN first.
Salary SMS Alerts: Useful, But Not a Balance Check
FAB sends a free SMS whenever your employer credits your salary — handy for confirming a credit landed, but it’s not an on-demand balance check. Don’t rely on any “text a code to check your balance” instructions you might see elsewhere; FAB doesn’t publish a confirmed SMS balance command for Ratibi. If you want your current balance at any other time, use one of the 3 methods above.
If Self-Service Doesn’t Work: Contact Support
- Ratibi service inside UAE: 600 52 2298
- Ratibi service outside UAE: +971 2 4996279
For salary-timing or employer-side issues, contact your HR or payroll department first — employers are the primary point of contact for Ratibi salary matters, not something FAB resolves directly with individual employees.
Why Is My Balance Showing Zero?
Check whether you’ve received the expected salary-credit SMS first. If not, your employer likely hasn’t released that pay period’s WPS batch yet — check with HR before assuming a system error. If your salary was credited but the balance still looks wrong, that’s when it’s worth contacting FAB Ratibi support.
Card ID vs. PIN: Don’t Mix These Up
- Card ID: requested by the Magnati enquiry alongside your last 4 digits. Not your PIN — safe to enter online.
- PIN: your ATM/transaction security code. Never enter it on any website, including the official portal.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I check my Ratibi balance through the FAB Mobile app?
Prepaid cards can show limited information in the standard FAB Mobile app, built primarily for full account holders — the Magnati portal or Payit are the more consistent options for a Ratibi card specifically.
Is there a fee to check my balance?
No — the Magnati portal, Payit, and FAB ATMs are all free for balance checks.
