Your work permit number is printed on the permit itself, or you can find it online in 3 ways: the MOHRE app, the UAE Pass app, or a Tas’heel service center. You can also download a full digital copy from the MOHRE website.
MOHRE (Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation) issues the Labour Card / Work Permit to protect worker rights — it holds your personal and company details and is required for salary and other employment benefits.
What you’ll need: your passport or Emirates ID.
3 Ways to Check Your Work Permit Number Online
All three are free government services.
Method 1: MOHRE App (via Passport Number)
- Download the MOHRE app: Android or iOS.
- Sign up or log in.
- Tap “Show All” (top right).
- Choose “Employees” → “My Contract.”
- Enter your Passport No., Nationality, and Birth Date, then submit.
- Your digital Labour Card appears, with your work permit number at the top.
Method 2: UAE Pass App (via Emirates ID)
- Log in to the UAE Pass app.
- Tap “Documents” at the bottom.
- Tap the “+” button (top right).
- Select Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation → “Labour Card.”
- Confirm your Emirates ID number is correct, then scroll down.
- Slide “I confirm” and tap “Confirm.”
- Your Labour Card is added to your documents.

Method 3: Tas’heel Service Center
Visit any Tas’heel center if you’re offline or need extra help — they’re located across the UAE and can pull your labour card number or a copy of your employment contract directly.
Download Your UAE Work Permit via the MOHRE Website
- Go to mohre.gov.ae.
- Hover over “Services” → click “New Enquiry Services.”
- Select “Print Electronic Work Permit.”
- Enter your Work Permit No., Transaction No., Person Code, and Date of Birth.
- Complete the captcha and click “Search.”
- Review your card, then download it.
Your Transaction Number and Person Code are on your work permit contract agreement.
